@clayne100 ...in the picture of the pump with the fitting hitting the steering cable...couldnt you have just bolted the steering cable from the bottom of the nozzle instead of the top to miss the cooling fitting on the pump?

That was my plan when I mocked it up but pull the trim and the nozzle goes high and right. It really needs to be on top.

Center of cable end needs to match trim ring pivot. Are you trying to get water pressure off the reduction nozzle? (Sorry if I missed it but looks like one of your inlets was on the nozzle and not the stator.)

Yes for a third cooling line. But that was not my problem child outlet. It was one in the stator.

Do you see a problem with picking up a third line off the nozzle?

That's typically for the stock suction bilge, but after checking myself, in this case it appears it was for the water spout. It may work based on location (it's still before the low pressure area of the Venturi), but pressure lines should be pulled from the stator when possible. .

Catching up on progress to report. Engine, Pipe, Waterbox all went in without a hitch. Minimal shimming and block adjusting.

One thing worth pointing out is my twist on the retriever concept. I love the idea of having a retriever for any ski with a scupper but hated strapping a cord bag to the outside of my ski. So I came up with my own and mounted it inside the engine bay with the retriever cord running up the handle pole. Then I will hide a float under the chinpad that will be easy to grab if the worst case happens. The cord should payout through the pole.

I ended up using a 3mm Kevlar cord that has a 900lb tensile strength. Goal being that the cord should be strong enough to pull it off the bottom also. Hopefully I will never have to find out if that works.

Total Loss is done. I have had it 80% done for a while. Just finished wiring in the shifty module and then tiding up all the wires.

With all the major systems installed, it was just a matter of running wires and plumbing. Somehow that sure sounds quicker and easier than it actually was. Custom length battery cables are kind of a pain to make.

Might want to give Zach a call and get the word on water routing.

Either way the PHP is a beast. You figure out the steering cable? I had similar issue with my setup, flipped to bottom of nozzle with a Helm joint and it works good.

Time to wrap up the build thread. The only think I had left was turf and after a few days, a few beers, and a few curses, that is done too.

I went with heavy foam on the bottom and in the footholds.

If I had it to do over again, I would go thinner. The extra padding is not really necessary and it just adds a ton of bulk.

Turf was black molded. It does not look as cool as the cut stuff but it is way more durable and I don't really want to do it again. I try to wrap the sides in one piece all the way into the footholds. This can be done if you have a lot of heat and patience. Notch the turf before wrapping it into the foothold.

And the only seam is under the foothold.

And the finished Product.

I'm in the process of finishing up my dvx. Installing the pump was problematic on mine as well. I'm running the new thrust billet 155 mag and the water fittings are tward the end and I ended up having to turn one fitting backward and run the waterline under the reduction nozzle just to make room for my steering cable
