anti-seize doesn't work in salt water...just fyi...just use marine grease. everything else he said works...again i'd say use the 656 by CRC tho.

the "salt-away" is going overboard...this is good to use before you winterize your motor if you're constantly in salt...not needed if you only ride a couple of times.

WHAT???? What are you talking about? Anti seize is a MUST for a salt water boat. I ride 100% salt and I ride a lot, averaging 3 times a week year round and the FIRST thing I do on a new build is coat ALL my bolts with Anti seize. Marine grease works well but doesn’t last long enough. After two years of riding salt if you want to be able to remove your bolts with out breaking them in the inserts then Anti Seize is the trick. I agree with you on Salt away, that’s a big waste of money, just flush thoroughly with fresh water.

i've never had any luck with it and all the people i ride with (all saltwater ppl) say don't use it it just dries up...but hey if it works for you keep with it i'm not one to tell you to stop doing anything (nor am i a chemist so who the hell knows)

Just got my 100% pure silicone and spray wax for Va.

I rode in Daytona once and then came home to a blizzard and the ski sat and yikes!!! Since then I super coat everything.

I ride 100% salt.

I use fogging oil (thin) like

it doesn't leave your motor compartment nasty like WD does .

and every once in a wile i add a bit to the motor too.

my carbs still look like never been on the water

I use Saltaway and suspect it to be a waste of money. I also spray down with silicone spray or the expensive anti-salt stuff from the local Yami dealer before and after.
I know a guy who rides quads and sprays down the engine with Pam before muddin', I thought about trying that. I had a bad experience with silicone spray lube gumming up a Demon carb after my friend tried to lube up the linkage with it (air cleaner off.) It had to be rebuilt.
I'm shocked how corrosion resistant my waveblaster is compared to my newer Yami couch. It seems to be much higher quality craftmanship.

the engine compartment in my RN is still as clean as it was when I finished assembly in January.

before a weekend of riding, spray with silicone spray. to clean after the weekend is over spray with Simple Green mixed 1:10 with water - rinse. air dry.

been using anti-seize on boat motors and skis for the past 10-12 years ive been working on them. the anti seize lasts the longest for sure. works great in salt.

i just hate trying to get the gray crap off my hands when i forget rubber gloves.

And we don't put grease on the spark plug wires, they'll start popping off at the worst times, later.
