Think I hate my X2.

I admit I never tried an aftermarket pump, but the 'partial' cure on the 550s was to go to a total loss system with a lightweight flywheel. I went to an MSD on mine and the engine revved a lot more aggressively and it stopped pitching me off at WOT. It had a 440 pump on it, which moved a lot more water due to the smaller center section; no idea if it did a better job of straightening out the flow before exit, but I believe my nozzle had matching partial veins in it as well. Never even considered it...

I did a front fill and Tom21 front sponsons with a modified 750 and stock pump (am prop of course). Hit 50, didn't wobble or tip, cut through 18" boat wakes like they weren't even there. Wasn't the case before the nose/sponsons, I used to get dumped at 45.
