Thinking about doing a second ride

First ride didn't go as planned, low turnout, bad weather etc so I am thinking about doing a second ride late September or early October, what do you guys think, lets kick some dates around and see what we can come up with.

Bumping this back up to the top, I am pulling a Gil on this one, no camping for me, hell I live less than 20 minutes from there, way too much work for me. I will be at the boat ramp no later than 10:00 AM , if you want to ride ,come on


I do have one question original site or Alex city boat ramp this time, nicer boat ramp with picnic tables and a small pavilloin area, there shouldn't be a problem this time of year like we had there before, I am up to give it another shot?

Picnic tables are good Terry, I'll need a place to chop my rocks before we ride. It scratches up my paint too much on my truck if I use my hood.

Going to scout the Alex City site and see what kind of traffic is there this time of year, also need to make damn sure there are no Bass tournaments there next week, its that time of year I am afraid. I will report back later tonight.

Scouted the location yesterday, I counted six trucks with trailers there, one boat put in and one pulled out while I was there, location has a small covered pavillion with two picnic tables and bathroom facilities which seemed fairly clean.
Water level is good, water temp was fine, I wore shorts yesterday, I would advise bringing a wetsuit if you have one, while the water temps were good the wind yesterday was not so nice. I got along fine with shorts on.

Extended forecast says sunny and 79 degrees for Saturday, If that changes any I will have to worry about it then.

Bring ski stands if you have them as there is no beach area just rocks, should be fine with a ski stands and there is plenty of room for the skis right in front of the pier in the second pic.

Lunch, let me know how you want to do this , I am all for grilling hot dogs and burgers if we can get some folks to bring some stuff, I am even down to make some more cajun potato salad !
