take some foam, glass, and filler and mold them into tubbie I's. just a thought... my I's made the boat feel nothing but better. tiny bit of chin walk at mid range, but other than, nothing but improvement. I have only ridden in the ocean though.

my take on Tubbies. They were designed to make the SJ's handle better on the race course. But it is a package deal, long ride plate and hull extensions. I have ridden a SJ in the surf with just tubbies and it handled well..... ridden the same boat on a lake it did not like it. Yamacat's SJ with tubbies, extensions and long plate handles great as long as there is some chop, when the water is smooth the nose hunts.

If you are considering sawzalling them off, give them to me.

And come get your pole/flame arrestor! Your square will be 100x better with a RN pole.

I custom made some large tubbies for my FX-1 this winter and I love it in the surf which is why I made them. On the lake I have grown accustomed to them but if I had a choice I would prefer not to have them when riding flat water.

i put them then on my x2 and they are great, the x2 handles great in flat and i got to ride in some surf this weekend with them and your right i guess i was use to the ski without tubbies, what really threw me off was riding a 08 superjet man the things carves great, much different than a sn with tubbies

Both my SJ's have T-2's.

I don't like riding a SJ without them. All around better handling, lake or surf.
Doesn't impede freestyle moves, as alleged sometimes.

IMHO of course.

Made my RN handle like crap on flat water, just rocks back and forth at mid throttle, but out in the surf they are very nice!!!!! Genuine T1's

The chine walk is very noticeable when you first put them on.
Somewhere along the line, I got so used to it that I do not notice it anymore.

Tubbies are not for everyone, but I wouldn't have a SJ without them.

the twitch is a little unnerving at first:eek5:
