after watching the video again, the second wave i could have bear hugged it. but it was one of those quick decisions and in this case i got lucky. ski didnt sink or slam the bottom. no water in the engine. if you consider all the possibilities in this situation, id say it was very positive. lol

for sure. were all guilty of doing it at one point. are you going to do a 144 now?

I also had that problem but it was in my x2 early this summer... It ended up being my coil was going out so once it warmed up it wouldn't give no spark. But it would always run for 10 sec and get out from shore then die on me. The coil finally went out, were my ski wouldn't run at all.

that sucks, but this isnt the issue with mine. i stripped the splines in the midshaft and on the driveshaft. My engine runs fine...lol

umm, its kind of a funny story...well maybe.

i have a bilge pump and the stock siphon. the last time i rode my bilge pump went out. so i bought a new one. i got busy and didnt install it until i got to the beach the next ride (which was right before the video). i had it all in, but just had to wire it up. i started to loosen the battery terminal and the terminal itself starts to twist and bend a little. i didnt want to ruin the battery so i said screw the pump, the stock siphon will be good enough for one day. if i sink my ski, ill just feel stupid...whatever. plus, the surf was clean and where we ride, the beach is right there...no biggie. so yea....you know the rest.

as for the never letting go, i figured id catch some crap. I never usually let go, im all for the golden rule, but in this case i was frustrated and the first wave really got the best of me. sometimes the waves just have to let you know who's boss...haha

I love the sound effects from you. That sucks, always happens on a nice day.

Disagree for sure. The chances of your ski getting trashed rolling throught the waves is much higher when you let it go.

That small surf was enough to beat that ski hard especially when you let go hanging on to the ski will help you get to shore also.

Hmmm let it go maybe bust off the pole or nose for a loose battery cable or simple fix. Old rule applies "Never let go".
f that parts are cheap
