it's called sprint boat racing and it originated in the land down under AUSSIE!!! haha you can actually pay and get a ride at some of the tracks. Tracks are man made and only 3-4 feet deep. 0-70mph in around 2 seconds. it's so fast

From what I've seen it's jetsprint racing and it originated in new zealand

the motors are way spendy some of them over 30000! these races are right down the road from my house, about eight miles away. they almost got shut down by tree huggers a couple years ago.
