Surfriding Thoughts on the Blowsion Trick Tips Video?

Hey guys...has been pretty quite on my end since Blowsion released this, I thought putting this video together would be a good way to say thanks to a great community and some amazing sponsors that helped me have a really incredible few years. And I thought that hopefully it would help to get a younger generation of riders up to speed.. But I really have not heard much except from a few friends. I actually have not seen the final cut of the video but just wondering if anyone has it and liked/hated/or watched it.

Just wondering if anyone had any feedback?

l have watched several times now.And it was awesome watching, learning from the Pros like you and others. The first part about getting your ski prepped for surf was good for the guys that are new to our sport or have not rode that much surf.A lot of the freestyle tips and tricks were above my pay grade! But l diff enjoyed watching and learning. My thoughts are that a lot of simpler tricks should have been thrown in there before barrel rolling. But then my trips to the beach have been few.Maybe a couple times a year.

Overall it is an awesome video! Listening to Randy Laine for me was probably the best part.He must be great to hang out and ride with, but watching all you guys giving your thought and opinions was well worth it!

Thanks Ross!

Great work mate. I would of loved to have had a vid like this when first starting out. Some really good pointers in there.
I've watched it a couple of times now trying to help a few points sink in. So keen to get out on the water this weekend and try some new stuff.

Hey Ross!

I loved the DVD. I normally don't order DVDs at all, but after watching it at the Grayland Open I had to have it.
I've watched it a couple of times now and it's not only entertaining, it's very useful and instructional. I've started pulling my rolls around in proper form because of this DVD. The technique tips on DVD#2 are priceless. I wish I had had that years ago.
The boat prep on DVD#1 isn't that useful to me, but it is entertaining. And the bonus footage from Todos Santos is just
Very nice stuff.

Btw, Sidney licking his ass sounds gross.

Disc 2 with the trick tips was awesome! I can finally see what I am doing wrong in my flips and rolls, now just to get my ski back on the water and apply the info. Disc 1 I thought was a little to commercial for the basic info it gave on ski setup, I guess I was just expecting more. Bonus features Disc 1 were the best part! All in all its a great DVD to have for any level of rider. Thanks Ross!

I got mine a couple of weeks ago and have watched it three times. Wow, it's well worth the $24.95 and the outrageous $12.95 shipping. Ross and the guys tell you how they do all their tricks and how they set up their skis. Like Tanner said, I wish I had this video when I started riding.

These guys share years of experience on how to surf ride and tricks. They tell you everything you need to know except how to grow a pair of these Blue Ski 166.jpg

Even the flat water riders will love it.

P.S. This video gives you information that would take you a lifetime to learn. These guys are giving it to you for just $24.95, this is what they try to do for a living. Respect them, buy the video, don't pirate it, it's well worth the money, you won't regret it!

I enjoyed it for sure. I have friends who watched it too, and they don't even ride. The only complaint I have is that it was hard to hear the speaker sometimes. Seemed like the music over powered the talking. Wasn't as bad at the end of Disc 2 though.

Glad to hear you guys are learning from it.

When I really got starte riding I can remember watching the freeride portions of the 02-03 motosurf videos literally hundreds of times. Then I just happend to be very fortunate where I lived (near Daytona at the time) to be able to ride with and learn from Slutty, then when I moved here to CA I got to learn from guys like JK, and had LBE, Mike Serlin, Jerry Jones, John Howe etc. to push, watch, and learn from. If it were not for the guys around me I never would have made the progress I did...and my hope is to be able to kind of share that with everyone.

And Scott, thanks for the support and the kind post. But for the record, none of the riders in this or me get anything from it. We all did it as a thank you to Blowsion and to give a little back to the sport. Blowsion is the reason I was able to focus on riding for a few years and I hope help to push the sport a little.

Thanks for the feedback guys...looking forward to seeing lots of ya at Surf Slam. I should probably watch the video a few time, I've been out of the water for a while at this point.

I watched the video and found it entertaining.
Would like to have seen more detailed tips and tricks. Like step bys step instructions on cutting down a stock handle pole. There was a lot of good info and I really enjoyed watching.
