throttle shaft nut size ??

Does anyone know the throttle shaft nut size for Mikuni carbs? This is the nut that keeps the throttle wheel tightly in place. I'm working on a new build and don't seem to have it. Or maybe the garage gremlins ate it. Anyways, I tried various ones I have in my box, but they didn't seem to fit.

That's a strange one. Seems to be M8-1.0, brass half nut. Somewhat finer threads than the usual 1.25 threads per millimeter.
