I installed a Thrust Ball Scupper a few years ago and have been noticing that it is sticking shut. Thinking about using Vaseline or a pool gasket lubricant on it to allow it to open up when I give it gas. Searched forums and haven't seen anyone discuss this. Let me know what has worked for you.

Mine sticks too. I’ve tried cleaning, silicone spray, and a new / “updated” larger ball. It’s better than it was but still sticks regularly. Interested if anyone has a real fix!

Heavier, solid delrin ball. Worked great for me.

The Thrust ball is 1.5 Inches so thanks for sharing. I cleaned my existing ball and valve and will try ordering a new one.

FYI after cleaning the ball and valve area its way less sticky but the ball does appear to have some wear so replacing it for $6 is probably the best option.

FWIW - I got the new ball :)

When I hold the two balls in my hand they seem exactly the same except 1 ball is old and Dirty (even though its been scrubbed) and one is new .

The real difference is when I put the balls into the scupper. The old ball seems to get stuck in the hole, the new ball goes in and out easily. This "old ball" really isnt that old considering I rode 3x last year and installed the scupper about 2 years ago. I guess these balls have a short life. I wonder if sanding the old ball with some 1000 grit sandpaper would bring it back to life.
