Thrust Trim and Steering cable problem.

I have thrust easy trim nozzle. I believe i have an OEM steering cable. When i pull the trim the steering cable swivels on the ball joint that is bolted into the trim nozzle. The outside of the ball joint that is attached to the cable hits the nozzle. This in turns stops the nozzle from being trimmed further upwards. There is still room to pull on the trim cable but the steering cable is not letting this occur.

Anyone got an idea how to allow for the extra trim degrees that is available by unrestricting the steering cable.

I have attached a pic of trim at rest and after the trim is pulled.

Space it up. Put a small spacer between the steering joint and the top of the nozzle where it screws in. It should space up the center section of the cable end and allow the joint to move freely. Don't use a washer or it will just bind like it does now.

Hope that makes sense.

you are the reason
Longer bolt and more washers. Home Depot has sleeve spacers and what not in their bolt section. Or thrust sells a different end. I still space that up also
