Few questions on Thrust EZ Flow Trim.

I just got this in, and its never been mounted.

First, the degree of throw doesn't seem like much. Granted I may not need more than this, but I thought it would have more degree's of trim.

Also, when installing it the reduction nozzle to my Solas Mag (with the rubber o-ring), the ears that mount the reduction nozzle to the hull are spaced about twice as far as the 61x reduction nozzle that I had on there. Its just a touch under 1/4" now, before it was maybe an 1/8th. I'm sure its not a big deal but I wanted to make sure its ok. For clarification, I left the wear ring mounted and i'm pulling the long pump bolts to perform this.

I sent a e-mail to Thrust and tried to call multiple times but haven't heard back. (only been a day, but I want to ride!)

You should have a lot more throw than that. It should be near 30-35 degrees. You may need to grind the reduction nozzle for clearance.

Beefy strong trim ring, starts at 10° and can be modded to 30°, spring mount and nozzle stop are one piece, simple design with easily available parts,$50 cables. And if you have the ProTec reduction nozzle you can seethe taper difference, not sure how much it helps. What steering nozzle is on the Thrust? pro tec. What do people not like ?

OP, run the trim like the rest of us. If you feel you need more throw take it off and grind it, easier to take off material than it is to put it back on. Try it before you think you might not like it,might be just right for ya. Have fun

Running into more issues. If anyone knows a better way to get ahold of someone from Thrust please LMK.... I think they'd appreciate me not posting these issues until I talk to someone. :grumble:

Random question, anyone know where to buy the same type of tension spring that's on the bottom of the nozzle? Size , and strength ? Local hardware store maybe?
