Thrustone 155 Setback pump, anyone tried one?

Hey yaw,

Has anyone tried the Thrustone 155 Setback pump? What did you think? Also how do they compare to some of the other brands like Torrent? The price seems really reasonable.

i picked one up for a boat chaser ski. i havent gotten it on the water yet but the quality looks solid and for the money im not sure you can beat it for a 155. I like the full legth wear ring.

Looks like the old thrust pumps, I think they had a couple different ones but I could be wrong. For the price they seem like a great choice for a boat chaser or a surf ski. They are on the heavy side but in those applications they are a great option imo

I've rode two skis with Thrustone 155's and they're a great pump, especially for the price. One I upgraded from a Solas 148 for a guy with an ET967 and it was a very noticeable improvement.

Per the Thrustone site they say they are just under 10lbs whereas the Torrent 155 says its 112lbs. But that is for the base 155 pump. Maybe the pro version is lighter?

I’m sure they would work great for flat water, but I think they are a bit on the heavier side like the standard torrent 155 is. For the price I’d give the thrustone pump the nod. But if you are looking for ultimate flat water performance look into a push industries pump. Light weight and still affordable.
