Tiger Craft SV-PRO

@sdeburnie Yeah it's goofy, but i use the arse pisser to run as dual cooling simply because i didn't ever tap the pump. It runs into a dual tapped b pipe manifold like traditional dual, i don't think such a thing as too much pressure is a thing when the water coming out is still damn warm and my pipe is not overfed either

Ok cool. Yeah, mine seems a little hot right now in comparison with my dual-cooled kawi. Been lookin at options, and sounds like this one might actually be viable.

So it had been 7 months of owning the Tiger Craft SV-Pro and i'd like to share some findings with you all.

first off the ride plate completely shredded it's self in the first month, and when trying to get tony to help it took 3 months for even a reply.

All of the very poorly installed graphics agx designs made were all splitting by the 2nd month. I was frustrated enough with them to end up ripping all the graphics off. It's like they were not even designed to fit the pro.

When i finally got a shipment of ride plates in, all of them didn't fit at all and took a poopload of grinding to get even remotely close, the marked hole locations where you are told where to drill don't lline up AT ALL. Oh and i guess we cant even get a color matched attempt either...

here is where i start to get a little pissed off. Every Sv-Pro on the west coast of the us has super bad cracks around the pole bracket area, (ill post up the other sv's in a few, i need to get pics)

I had to reinforce the living poop out of it from the inside. Tony said 2 times he would send me a gelcoat repair kit asap... that was 2 months ago. I can assure you it's not happening...

this is one of the tubbie holes

The tray leaked so much water in that i had to seal everything up myself, the through water tubes leaked everywhere, the center bulkhead was not sealed and let water under it like crazy until i sealed that up too, even the through shaft pipe was leaking! My friend Colin's sv-pro has the same issue but even worse where the entire water through tube is loose and you could pull it right out... just sad

back to the tubbies... not sure what the hell they are thinking making them hollow, on any side impacts the entire tubbie can crush in (and does), they are full of water all the time, and the bolts have nothing to tighten against... like wtf this is not how you build a jet ski. So i came up with my own spacers permanently glued in.

this is where the engine wants to go through the floor. the mounts for the motor sit too low and the motor can just smack the bottom all day. Pete Mcafee's sv1 has a hole right through the bottom from this and i think i am getting really close.

Overall after having owned a tiger craft I can assure you that I do not recommend one at all. Feels like i got royally screwed. keep your SV-1's they even ride better imo lol

Thanks for your honest review we really appreciate the feedback. I like what you did with the tubbies aswell.

To be fair to all other sv 1 owners,sv pro owners, some v2 owners (not all ill explain in a second) the adj tailplates don't fit the best on the sv pro. I had to redesign and make a new plug and mold and we actually cut the mold after the first 7 or so hulls (Bryans is the one with the old style back) the problem is the front of the plate sit a little low *IF NOT GROUND PERFECTLY EVEN. Then once it sits low the sliding of off and on bunks starts to take away the leading edge or the glass. Once you ride it the water psi and constant flexing gets inbetween the layers then there you go.they delam. I even had one on my.own ski that had a huge gash in the center it took the layers away from just normal riding. I find it hard to beleive that riders like james juvet who goes bigger on a bad day than half the industry, has only gone through 2 plates in 15 months. I sent you 4 plates for free sorry that they didn't work out and they didn't match. I was also about to send you the gelcoat needed to make a repair and along with new tubbies, also free. But you had your ski forsale and I also caught wind that wou were getting another hull it's all good don't care. But the biggest problem is I said let me know what you need,if you remember our phone conversation I said I value you as a customer because you paid full retail for the ski and never really got a response if you were keeping it or selling it.

Everyone that knows me can say I'm not here to screw anyone. If there's a problem I try to address it in the most timely fashion and professional way as possible. But we are still small staffed I often wear many many hats but we are expanding for this year to help with the constant work load.

Thanks for pushing the hull to the limits and finding the weaker points. We have address the issues on the new models. And if there's anything you need from us Please use a legit source of communication i.e not Instagram dm, preferably phone or email.

Our hulls also have the motors jigged lower than the “norm” superjet. This makes center of gravity lower and makes the ski not seem so tipsy. Also the reason this tigercraft rides so well. With big motors or guys going huge now a days, these motor mounts flex out hella hard and can touch the bottom of hull. I personally don’t want to change how the ski rides by jigging the motor higher. We’ve found a super simple fix that also helps with vibration. Here’s a few pics. And much easier than adding two more mounts like we’ve seen done. Just a little FYI and hopefully help others that r going big and experienced this same issue.

turf under matting gets crushed and blown right through (i have tried it twice) the only thing helping it at this point is running some Horse stall matting that is made of car tires (heavy as poop!)

I spent some quality time on my SV PRO happy owner so far, I had to pop at least 200 flips since ownership. I have no stress cracks whatsoever or my engine did not rub bottom yet (just checked, running couch mounts). I hope it will stay this way. I will make a more detail post.
Did someone mention going BIG? 02.jpg
