Bout to start my Tigercraft build! I'm going to pick up the hull this weekend in WA. I'll be putting a 61X single carb motor in it and a 144 pump with a skat 7/14 out of my square.

My only question is about the midshaft. I am told that I need a RN midshaft for the SV1. Just wanted to confirm that with the community. And also see if anyone has a line on one.

I'll also be needing a full b pipe setup and a waterbox as well. Possibly trim, not sure if I want it or not just yet. Anything else you guys can think of that I will need, please let me know. I'm going to rebuild the 61X and Ebox too, so any advice on what to do to that shoot my way.

I'll put up some pics when I get the hull next weekend. See pic of the motor attached.

Blaine stoked for you. for your motor work, you can't go wrong with one of jetmaniac's ported top end kits $650 range. if you can wait some and want to ship your cylinder/cases out, CPT does awesome work and have sent him my parts, only to be more impressed with his porting and detail each time. I think, I have you covered with the midshaft if you are interested still. (sent paypal info via).
Attached is my personal build "how to" sheet for motor assembly.
Looking forward to your new build!!

Just buy a b pipe direct from factory pipe rather than buying someone's used pipe with stuck screws for $50 less. I just ordered one the other day, they have them in stock right now.

Ok so I picked up the hull last weekend. Beyond stoked on this thing! Got it (relatively) locally from Sharkbait. He is a super good dude and worked with me on payments. Now the fun begins! I scored a midshaft from Erik Y and bought a brand new b pipe mod chamber. I am going to start piecing everything together this week.

FYI, this is the setup I plan to run:
-61x single carb (as mentioned) with likely carbontech reeds
-bpipe, rad dudes exhaust hose, aftermarket can out of my sj (will post pics of this)
-sj tank with blowsion internal fill
-jetmaniac midshaft
-144, 7/14 skat and possibly mag pump stator and thrust trim (if $ permits)
-aura pole with thrust steering, blowsion finger throttle, sj steering cable

A few questions I have/things I am unsure of:
-how to modify my sj pump stator for dual cooling? I was told that if I flip it 180deg and drill/tap the other knob on the stator I will be good. Just want to confirm that. Also how to plumb cooling lines with this setup? (Probably depends on my head I guess) Any one with instructions/guidance on how to do this please let me know. Or should I just get the mag pump....
-what to do about the Ebox and battery? There are holes drilled on the exhaust side for ebox mounts already but I know that prolly wont work with the b pipe. But I don't want to drill this thing full of holes! Looking at the cf ebox mount and the rad dudes battery box. Opinions? What kind of clearance should I expect for the battery? I'm going to run a stock sj tank.

I'm sure more questions will develop as I move along. About to order the exhaust hose and battery box so input on that would be helpful. Also probably going to do the jetmaniac top end as it seems like a good price. Going to tear down the motor this week and see what I'm working with.

Im also going to need lots of little stuff, like conical washers, bilge fitting, pissers, etc. I might wait on these until I order from thrust though (hoping for their Black Friday sale on trim again).

Sorry for the winded post but just wanted to update on my minimal progress. See pics of the hull attached.

shonet my bad dude I'll type up those lists for you. That is a good hull. Hopped off my pro back onto a 1 this weekend and it's hard to say what does it better.

That hulls inserts are setup for a lay down pipe so there is no battery box inserts. Run a tank from @LimitedSlip7 its over 5 gallons, has a battery tray, and makes everything so easy to work on.

Rad dudes hose from @JetManiac

You don't need any sort of ebox mount. Spend the 42 bucks somewhere else.

sort your washer situation out from @ridetrp

Good job on the new boat mate. Graphics are nearly the same as mine just different colours.
A lot of people have those graphics. But none are exactly the same. Chris pulls from the same sheet from a different location so no one has the same.

Ok I have actually made progress. Wasn’t able to do much until school ended and parts came in.

First of all big thanks to @x2mafia @yurkanip @JetManiac for all the advice and help along the way. I never realized what a stooge I am with skis until I started this build lol.

Tore my old motor down (which ended up being a bigger pain than expected) and have been cleaning up the cases and everything for painting and reassembly. I’m just going to use duplicolor engine paint from Napa, thought about powder coating but I don’t want to spend $100 on powder coat for a $50 set of cases.

Decided to take advantage of my campus privileges and do the dirty stuff at the lab haha

These things were grimy!

I don’t know who this dude is who last built this motor but he doesn’t use antisieze, it made things really fun for me...

All cleaned up! Well, good enough anyway...

Also I took some time to clean up the inside of the hull. There was some splintering in the glass where some turf or whatever was glued and peeled up. Decided to hit it with some epoxy and paint

When I pulled the pump from the SN I found that the driveshaft was buggered.

I could have bought a new shaft and had it pressed in, but I said screw it after I found a mag pump on here from @McDog. Pretty stoked on it!

That’s it for now. Gonna keep plugging away today. Hopefully I’ll have the pump together and installed by the end of the day

Finally got my pump built. Thanks to @JetManiac and @McDog for pointing out the problem with my other impeller. I ordered up a hooker 9/15 from JM and it is looking much better! Thing looks sexy!
17676e222681cfe2279d60972338dffa.jpg

Also I had to bling out my pump a bit and make it match the ski. Why not right?

Going to get hardware tomorrow to bolt it in. It will be my first go with aligning a pump so if anyone has advice or tips on how to do it that would be helpful. I am using the CF pump alignment tool.

Now that the holidays are over I should be able to have this thing banged out and on the water very soon. Stay tuned

Got my engine cases all painted and everything should be ready to assemble! I’m pretty stoked on how it turned out. It was a b*tch to mask everything off but it paid off in the end. Big thanks to @yurkanip for blasting the cases!

Now it’s time to reassemble. I have a new crank and ported top end kit from JM along with new gaskets and seals of course. Any advice for reassembly? I heard yamabond is the thing to use for between the cases. Should I use any sealant on the gaskets? Any help is always appreciated

You bet man, anytime you need blasting done I can usually fit it in. Yamabond/Hondabond on the cases. All other gaskets go on dry. I have greased the carb gaskets if I know I am going to be tuning and pulling the carb a few times to rejet etc. Looking good bud and can't wait to hear it run, and give it a rip.
