Time for new ski

I just registered here and it looks like an awesome site and look forward to riding with you guys from the cleveland area. I have always rode sit down skis and my brothers old x2. My neighbor gave me a 87 300sx Its got no balls at all but it has taught me to ride a stand up pretty well. Now I want a new stand up with some more power and want to learn some tricks. Just want your input on what I should be looking for to ride lake erie. The only decent local ski I have found at the time is a 95 750sxi. Hes asking $1800. Whats your opinions??

if your lookin to get into freestyle, id hold out and wait for a superjet. for that kind of money you should be able to find a nice 701 squarenose

keep in mind.... its worth it to travel for a nice ski. i drove from new york to virginia for my round nose.....

when people say roundnose they are reffering to a superjet thats a 1996 or newer

Welcome to the X brother. I have been riding couches around Cleveland for a while and I have a shop in Cleveland. I just started learning to ride stand-ups this summer. So I can't help you with suggestions but you are welcome to ride with us whenever and wherever we are riding we mainly ride out of Edgewater. I ride all over the state with my couches. Good luck with the ski search that is where I am at right now. Building an SXR...

Also, welcome! If you find a sweet deal outta state or something always keep in mind its only about 250 - 350 $ to ship a ski around....

where are you from in NE ohio? I live around Akron.... I will be riding at least a few more times this year at various places.... I usually ride at Springfield Lake by Akron.... you could come out and see my ski and see some of the mods you will be doing for freestyle... for $1800 you could get a nice modded squarenose or get a nice stock round nose and moddify it as you need it... personally I'd get the roundnose and mod it as you go...

I would absolutely hold out for a RN superjet with a B pipe.

Then do whatever and come rip it up!!
