Timing Advance? Yay or Nay?

I have a stock 750sx. The motor is bone stock, save for a dual carb conversion. Is something like an advance a good mod to make for more throttle response to a stock engine? I am thinking maybe a head as well. I'm not really prepared to drop large funds on a pipe considering how much is already in the ski.

I was looking at these online...are they pretty much Small pin and Big pin specific?

I dont know the exact year when they went from small pin to big pin, and wouldnt want to buy the wrong kit for my Small Pin motor.

Looks like he has them broken up for 92-93 and 94+

I think it was 95 when they made the Change. In 95 you could get a SX or an SXI and the SXI had to BP. I think the CDI was changed in 96, and had a Change to the Low end timing advance, but I can not find the curve for the older models ATM.

SX 16 BTDC @ 2 500
