thoughts like that are keeping you from becoming a duct tape master.

the easiest way to do them is unplug one wire at a time and then plug the new one in. the first time i did one, i unplugged EVERYTHING, even wires that didn't need to be unplugged. i was releived that powder was around though because i made a huge mess and was looking at spaghetti. the second time i got smart.

oh yeah, the best advice... make sure everything is right before you close it up! opening it up a second time to troubleshoot is a BIATCH!

once you pull it apart a few times it becomes easy..I can change a CDI in like 20 mins including opening/closing the box...

one tip...take a Qtip and put a little dab of vaseline/dielectric on EACH connection.....

then smear the Ebox seal with Vas before you close it up....

Print this out. This is my personal cheat sheet. There are some small errors in the older B/W MSD instructions. The new ones are for the most part accurate. Cheers.

As long as we're on the topic...

Is it cool to max out the rev limit on a basically stock 6M6? I don't think you can't over-rev too much while the pump is loaded anyway, but I also believe the 6M6, 61X, and 62T all have different factory redlines.

Stuff like this just scares me, so I am probably not going to touch the rev limiter right now.

Anyone want to assure me otherwise?
