I started racing in 1990 on a 650sx and you really had to ragdoll your body around the corners! That was brutal as hell.

Love it! that's what I learned on! Just draggin ass everywhere!

My uncle always called it a sit turn. He taught me to just drag hip/ass cheek WFO, its awesome on glass.
I never have to now on my 09 SJ.. nothing like the oldies. But I still do it from time to time...

I have signed up for the Lake Hartwell round of the ProWaterCross tour. I'm excited and nervous. Going to be doing beginners class. I'm still practicing at least once a week.

So if I had a few more mods than "stock" would they still let me race in beginner? I have an old superjet with ada head, light porting, and an atp cdi. It's under propped and running mid 40s. I'm not super competitive, just looking to have fun. I guess they could dq me if I won by a mile (hah!)

We practiced last Thursday and I was passed by an experienced rider on a stock SXR. My fitness and skill level is good for beginner I think. Like you I'm am going to do this for fun and nothing more.

Yeah this sounds a lot like me, I've been riding for 12 years, practicing buoys for awhile now but I still get owned easily by the pros on pro stock skis. Lol. Great fun watching highly skilled riders make it look easy.
