Tips to quiet down my atp waterbox.... please!!

I installed an atp waterbox a little while ago, I'm running 2.5" side exit. The ski is SO LOUD and I hate it.

setup is pretty simple

61x
33cc domes
factory pipe limited chamber
atp waterbox
2x90 degree bends to a WRIII 2.5" outlet.

The ski was modified before I got it. I would have kept the rear exhaust, but now that it's been deleted it wont be until winter before i get time to cut it up and swap back


I'm running a flow control valve and have tried adjusting it. Doesnt seem to help.


Is there anything else I can do to quiet it down? I dont want to play with my other water screws too much because I have them adjusted for best power as per some other posts I read.

I have a stock waterbox from my 04 I will trade you for the ATP

Best way to quiet down an aftermarket waterbox is to sell it and swap in a stock one! Pull the flow control valve out (or just remove the spring and ball) and that will make a slight difference as well.

Front exhaust will still be loud.

Take the flow control valve out. The ATP box is designed to clear water out quickly. I ran the same setup last year. I also put a water line in the exhaust right before the outlet.

I think that's why mine is so epic loud now. Added a fcv a little while ago, now I ride like a harley dbag with straight pipes LOLOLOL
Personally it sounds amazing but got some middle fingers pointed my direction by some floating turds last weekend....

I know this was posted a while ago, but does this mean putting a fitting in the outlet side of the waterbox?

Also it might be just the design of the ski (q8) but my exhaust doesn't ever sit in the water while riding

No standup I know of has the rear exhaust exit covered/muffled by water when riding more than just idle speed.

ATP waterboxes are a little louder than others. But will never be quiet with side exhaust!!
