These plugs work great on a sxr. The screw in just like the normall drain plug.

Just got mine the other day from PWC Doctor- great customer service, BTW. This plug is not some cheap POS- it's a quality piece of hardware, and screws right into the OEM drain plug receptacle. No modding needed on the SXR. I am running a Rule bilge also, so these two things should work in concert with each other and keep my engine comparment dry as a bone. I'll let you guys know how it works out this weekend.

Thanks again for jumping on board w/ us!!!! I just talked to Chris on the phone, sounds like a solid product w/ good engineering... can't wait to see what they look like in person... Look for their booth at the ride... They will have some for sale there

These versaplugs are incredible.

I didn't need my bilge pump all season.
Before I had to leave the pump running from begining to end.

No leaks either, my ski sat for three hours in the water and not a drop got inside.

Not to mention they are handcrafted to spec. Very nicely machined.
Way cheaper than duckbills too.

Has anyone ever expieramented with something like this on a hood to keep the water out? Something that would close shut when you sub or w/e and block out the water from entering the hood.

My thought on that is that SOME water getting in is a good thing. Your motor is still running while under. Air is still getting drawn into the motor (from the top of the compartment) and has to be replaced with something (in this case water). If you totally block off the inlets you'd create a vacum and lean out your motor/crack the hood liner etc.

I used them for the first time after building my ski....

After the first ride the hull was filling with water due to a piece of ziptie sticking the ball open & letting water in the hull.

Cleaned it out & went for a ride, came back in & the other side was now filling with water, removed & found a rivet head jamming the ball open.

Long story short I really like them & they do work a LOT better than duckbills & dont wear out like duckbills.

I really am anal about junk inside my hull but "things" will find their way into the valve & jam the ball open,I would install a small piece of nylon window screen wrapped around the threads then screwed in this will allow water to flow out but wont let "junk" jam the ball open.
