Other title transfer in TX

well, heres another newb question...please bare with me lol. ill get a sense sooner or later.

Ive never bought a jet ski and so i dont know how the title transfer goes exactly. I know TPW are sticklers and so i want to have the paperwork lined up before i get there and if i need the seller to sign anything that needs to be signed. ive done cars and know that the tax office doesnt accept a written bill of sale anymore...they want a 130u form (formal bill of sale that you get from their website)

I was wondering if there was a form like that for a jet ski? ive found the PWD-143 form:
http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/publications/pwdforms/media/pwd_143_a0900_vessel_boat_application.pdf

is that the one that i want? ive tried google but i must be typing in the wrong thing cuz nothing relative comes up. just searching for a quick answer...i dont want to drive a few hours twice lol

PWD 143 form is the ONLY form you need. (for a regular transfer...if you are dealing with an estate, liens, lost title, other forms may apply)

fill in the sales price, you sign it, seller signs it - take it to TPWD local office and bring a checkbook to pay tranfer fee and sales tax on the purchase price of the ski.

No bill of sale needed for boat transfer paperwork...and you don't need one for cars either - the state now uses "presumptive value" for vehicle sales price and that's what you pay taxes on.

registered the Trinity I bought from Daniel about a month ago and they wanted bill of sale. IDK why but they told me it was required. did it at Parks and Rec Texas City

I always bring BOS and TPWD Form. Also remember you have to do it within 20 days or they hit you with additional fees.

They gave BOS back but wanted to see it. IDK , I registered my B1's and they want etching of HIN and motor ID cause they were from CA. I was like "motor vin really", they let me slide I guess. They were already titled in my name. I'm moving to Bullhead City AZ so we will see how it goes there.
