Is anybody out there running one of these new hulls?

I'm interested to hear your opinions on thier weight, and handling with or without the removable hull extensions.

I really like the idea of these hulls, and the finish looks really nice and clean. So, if you have one, and are willing to talk about it, I'd love to hear from you.

I'm pretty sure Gino's is the full length version, not that it should make much difference once the hull extensions are fitted.

I'm particularly interested to find out how they go in the surf (with extensions fitted) given that the hull is 81 lbs.

Mine is the full length one. Kevin @ LegDrag is expert on these. He is straight up and honest. When I went to his shop he had just got the blue ski back from Exotic Signs, it has the extensions on it and They looks very well made. I didn't get to ride much in Daytona due to MSD issues, but it handled fine with the riding I did do. The only issue I would think would be landing with the nose up and the tail down in shallow water. I hit bottom a few times like that and could see having the extensions on there them breaking off. They are just held on by screws, but normal riding they would be fine. Hope this helps.

Yep, I've spoken to Kevin about them, and yes, he takes the time to explain things. I'd like to hear from a few people out there that have ridden them with and without the hull extensions though.

Hittin the bottom isn't that much of an issue though really, I mean, the extensions can be replaced and the hull that they are bolted to is nice and solid. I'm thinking more about how they go carving up waves with the lighter hull.

watty i saw these hulls at the worlds last year look reaaly well made i cant say what they handle like but a mate i ride with bought petes old xft hull i am not sure of the weight its lighter than a oem and it handles terrible in the surf but pete and wire swear by them i think it would be the type of thing that would grow on you
