TNT pipes

There are 3 production TNT pipes that where made.
There was also more then 20 test pipes built, some of which didn't work and where thrown out or given away.
Some of these pipe I have been showed pictures of and asked what model.
None of the pipes are marked, shame on me.

So word to wise from the builder, find out what pipe you have.
Because some of them are total ducks in the water!!

Now, because my email box blew up with some nice words and appreciation for my time I thought would give you another go.

But let me be very clear.

I don't build bling, nor do I build a pipe that will make every possible motor and setup combo go wow.
What I do build is quality pipe that with the engine specs it was designed for out performed everything we tested in it's day 92-97.

Here is what we know, if you have port timing that is over 133 transfer and 205 exhaust, you may not want to try a TNT pipe!
If you run compression at 200psi or above, I am asking you not to test one as it's gonna kill your motor!
But if you have stock port timing to 130-200
with 130-190 compression, you should try one.
If you want hard hit and no upper mid or top, find limited chamber.
If you want usable strong mid and top find stroker chamber.
If you want smooth strong power that can rev to 7900rpm find superstock chamber.
Here what they where built for.
SS chamber, 128-198 85mm bore 190psi superstock motor using 15/19 prop with 82mm nozzle.
Stroker- 5mm 62t case 82mm bore 126-200 170psi 16/19 prop with 81mm nozzle
limited- stock 62t with duel carbs, 15/19 prop 180psi comp.

Those are the base designs for all the production pipes.

Hp.
On 61x case, 61x cyl 4mm stroker
94hp FPP mod chamber
96hp FPP limited chamber
108hp TNT stroker chamber
peak hp was 6750 rpm!

62t 6mm 128 rod stroker 81.5 bore
c200 TNT setup was 144hp at 7110rpm
with SS chamber
62t 8mm stroker, 81mm flat top, powervalve
162hp at 7350rpm super stock pipe.

Just for record, the 6mm motor was fastest radared boat ever build by me.
64.7 in square nose!
8mm best speed was 62.5 mph. And had 20 more dyno numbers!
After month of testing in my boat never matched speed of 6mm 128 rod boat
the power was smoother and was less effort to ride.
6mm hit hard and was un ridable for me! Or jeff Jacobs had to make carb version for him in 94 and it went 57mph at 94 world finals.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing. You just answered some of the questions I PM'ed you about. Still need to figure out which chambers I have...

Most people here will not understand or appreciate all this, but those of us who have been around this "sport" a while sure do (I hope)... I know I do.

Good stuff...

I will let anyone do back to back testing on my Stock 701 B piped light weight SXR hull in Va. (190psi, lightened flywheel, worked carbs, 13/16, bla bla bla....)

My chamber pops right out and this one right in. My ski is tuned to perfection and hits hard on the bottom.

If I feel anything more that 10% arm pull gain I will buy one on site.

All are welcome to try my ski with this chamber in Va.

Assuming there is a limited TNT chamber in Va.

As much as I would like to fly all over the world and setup test days it's just not possible.
Watercraft sales will never keep my exwifes attorney happy!
There for my day job must stay my primary objective.

So when you see me post or at the beach try to remember I am doing this for my love of performance, to make things to be proud of.
And anyone who knows me can vouch for my bling, or should it be said I have no bling bling qualities.
Go fast in plain generic look.
Some people asked me what have I been doing last 15yrs.
Well playing with cars, snowmobiles and quads.
Only build what I want for those who appreciate and like to go fast, outside box fast.
1000+cc turbo nitrous sleds.
1300cc 4stroke turbo
you can find my quad on YouTube.
Hillshoot busashee or hillbilly turbo nitrous busa banshee.
It's a dyno queen with more horsepower then usable.
531rwhp and 614rwhp on nitrous.
Unridable over 375hp, but as an engine build nothing more rewarding then having more horspower at any time then your capable of pushing down the throttle on.

referring to post 1-

That sure explains alot!!! I had one of the TNT chambers on my 828 5 mil Lamey and it killed it, I have also tried a Blaster mod which sucked as well. The only chamber I love is a b limited and a b mod is ok. I have really scratched my head as to why the TNT did not work-NOW I FINALLY KNOW!!! My setup is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY off from what Tim posted. Tim, where were u last spring? lol

This is VERY educating-I now see the light.

Va would be a great place to have one to test out, there will be plenty of takers for the test with tons of different motor setups at wavedaze
Having dynoed #s like that posted will deff attract alot more interest and alot less skepticism.. those are some rather large increases. do you have any curves you can post like this to see the diff in low end performance?

I think thats off of Factories website so that prolly aint happenin.

Lets just arm test them in Va.

Send someone (me if you would like...you have my word it will get returned and or bought) a limited chamber if you want and we will run it. Arm dyno!

Great info !!!

Do you have a picture of the three different TNT chamber designs, so we can tell them apart?

Come out to Oregon and ride some real surf and test the pipe!!

Randy and I are planning a test in Oregon where we use some freeride boats and few good riders.

But not till after the WF and Blowsion agrees to do some fiberglass work for me. :)~

launch control is to keep tire speed below 150mph and my ass on seat.
And the bike consistant.
