There is a petition to have Marine Police Officer Pat Oliver removed from his position. This petition was started by the Demopolis Area Chamber of Commerce, it states that the presence of Pat on the river in Demopolis is hurting the local economy , (like the boat races and bass tournaments).What do you think ?

" I the undersigned, am familiar with the river in Demopolis,Alabama. I have used and enjoyed the river except for the presence of Marine Poliec Officer Pat Oliver. This constantly results in me not engaging in the Demopolis local economy to the piont I would if I could use the river for recreational purposes. I am not opposed to an officer being present on the river, but I do not use the river to its fullest extent due to the extreme nature of Officer Pat"
