I agree w/ everyone here... I rode that boat and was completely amazed at the low end pull... Never been on a SXR that was that fun to ride (besides Korns) Moving the motor back was a huge step in the right direction.... it really made the ski light feeling... Great work!!!!!!!!!!

See ya in Daytona next year

What all is done to the 'stock' sxr? I am trying to figure out how the hell you are doing flat water bf's?! Not at all saying you arent, just wondering how you get such a good low end hit? Is the only thing you have done is moved the motor back? That is wicked sweet!  :hail:

I rode that ski too. That thing hit nice. Footholds didn't fit my small feet but power was certainly sweet.

The SXR guys were definately representing out there. I saw DJ Korn tearing it up on saturday.

later:biggthumpup:

hell.... I thought you were the man... very nice skillz...

Wetbox was rolling a stock SXR with only footholds. KX454's is FAR from stock.

for my bottom hit, i just have a wet pipe, jetinetics charging flywheel, 46mm carbs, milled stock head, mild porting, and a skat 13/18 setback prop/ and v force reeds and a few other litte tricks. watch ebay and the boards and you can find my mods for a pretty reasonable price. i mean hey i built this thing on a college kids budget.....

gil i gotta say thanks for letting me ride your SJ that was the first one i was every on besides a stocker. i was impressed with the weight difference, but she still dont handle like a kawi

kx454,

I just remembered the trim lever.

I tried to pull it a bit, but there was alot of resistance.
I was afraid I would break it, so I left it alone.

( ive never ridden a ski with a trim system)

was it working? and just harder than I thought to pull?
dang, that probably would have really changed the nose attitiude.

it was working, its hard to pull if you have the throttle on. i usually let off the gasthen pull it in and it is easy. it really helps alot, i am happy with it.

Awesome ski, I wish I could have been there to ride it, Congrats!!!
I finally tried the trim on my SXR yesterday and it really make the nose lighter. It was a whole new game. The lake was like a pond yesterday, so I was screwing around trying to do flat water BR's without a set up wake. I couldn't make it more that half way, but still.... I could have never done that without the trim. I really makes the boat loose.
