lol, well I picked all bottom end because my ski was gutless when I first got it...because the key on the crank slipped causing the timing to go all crazy and wouldn't run right. Now it runs like a raped ape!:)

I'd give them a call. I know there is this one guy on here that everyone likes. I couldn't get ahold of him so I went through my dealership and got it cheaper! lol

Anyone ever get their motor ported by one of the big names? I just know I read how the stock kawasaki port timing and transfer roof angles are all for high end power. If you had this changed by someone that know what they were doing how does the 750 motor turn out?

The only mod that really woke the bottom end up my FP'd 750 sxi big pin was going HIGH compression. Switching from 170 to 215psi made a BIG improvement on the bottom end. Of course I ran 50/50 race gas, so budget wise it wasnt the cheapest mod...lol

I had groupk do "freeride porting" my sxi motor. Bottom end still was soft/weak. I have since swapped the sxi cylinder out for an SXR cylinder, and the stock sxr cylinder destroys the ported sxi on bottomend. In fairness to groupk the ported sxi was down right scary @ WOT. That was the fastest X2 I have ever ridden.

My thoughts
this is what i had on my 750sx:
Porting, FP exhaust, High compression, timing advance, MSD enhancer, 8/16 swirl prop, Wet wolf cone, Lightened flywheel, 42 mm CDK sudco Carb....

Still wasnt enough for me.... Now i am running a 62t/61x 701 with a B pipe, dual 44s, ada girlded head, advance timing, same prop... Now i am happy!

I think for now, im gonna leave my motor alone for the most part. Timing advance for sure. Thinking bored Nozzel and maybe lightened flywheel. And maybe a head if I come across one that I feel is a good deal sorta thing.

From what it sounds I would have to do something really drastic to lose most of my top end so, thats cool.

The way it stands now I wont be able to ride my ski for most of this summer, so no point dumping a ton of money into it if I cant ride it. If my summer plans dont go through I might be more inclined to put more money into it.

why cant you ride it for the most of summer?

I plan on just riding my ski for a couple of years and doing minor upgrades until I can afford an SXR

Im trying to go to OCS this summer. Which will have me gone for 3 months. June through August. Thats the bulk of the summer. So, maybe after I get back do a few more things.
