Nuts frozen to the porch?
I've got a 94 750sx. Is it possible to block off the huge air intake hole just under the factory hood at the front and still get enough air with just the holes on the top of the hood?

You can open the other air hole in the rear of the hood so that it matches the stock air intake at the rear of the hood and I duct taped a spray paint cap over the front air tube that is under the hood. Fountians forever that way.

The hole I'm talking about is looking from the front of the ski, on the left side at the front under the hood. The thing is huge and every time I do a sub my ski gains about 20lbs, haha.

On a SXI the front and the rear of the hood are seperate air wise. So if you block the front air intake off from the inside there won't be any water get in through the front. Then you can open the other side on the rear so you can still get enough air for the motor. The only way water enters the ski is when the rear of the hood is under water.

Here is an old picture of where I cut my 2nd hole. The red line is where the 2nd hols is and the blue lines are where the hood is sealed so that the front and rear air intakes are seperate.

No pic^^^

I put two 500gph pumps in front of the carbs(one is at the water box area, tossed the stock bilge and running a 2" scupper. gotta have all for fountains, subs not that important. You jack up your motor real quick without the bilges.
remember don't try to start the motor if you suck down water and stall the motor. flip it, pump it and start with 1 plug. Gotta get a scupper dude.
