So I am the only one so far who uses and likes them... I bought Vibram Flows this year. Not because of support, grip or any other reason- only because I was sick of my feet turning blue and going numb in the cold from exposure at the start of the season. I bought the smallest size I could physically put on and cinch the back strap very tight. For the first month I had to stop three or four times each hour or so to put my toes back into the slots. After the first month either the shoes reformed a little or my toes started to get more space between them... but now my toes usually slip back in without stopping even if they do pull out (though I did have to stop once tonight.)
I suppose that when I have to stop several times an hour to clear my intake of weeds it is not really a big deal to occasionally stop and fix the shoes.
It is true- there is no top padding and no rigidity, however, I find that they do grip the ski well. I am certain there are better riding shoes- but I really like mine. As an added bonus they have become my gym shoes as well.
