Enough people have asked for this so I am putting it out there. They are the same part I already make with reliefs for the stainless hardware which is supplied. They are foamed filled with flotation foam. You will drill the holes and then apply silicone or whatever adhesive/sealant you want to the back side and install.

$225.00 shipped in the U.S.

Cool ! , Tom-will these Bend and conform to the fx1 nose and contour with just 3 screws? I have not installed my tom21 fx1 sponsons either, but i have to bend the front ends a bit to get them to sit just right.

Is there a way to make them "bolt on" if I buy the hardware from you?

Im interested to know as well ! -I'd imagine the gelcoat goes thru the foam where the bolts go to sheild from water intrustion and also the hardware/washers look recessed into the gelcoat as if designed so in the mold process- Same sponson but slightly different?

I have a set of your sponsons for my FX1 that I have not installed yet. Is there a way to make them "bolt on" if I buy the hardware from you?
you could drill holes and bolt them on but they wont be recessed. I doubt that the hardware will create much of a problem. the hardware is just stainless. its nothing special, you can buy nuts bolts and washers anywhere.

I will have to look at the fx and see what I can do there. thats why this is only in the sj section. I still have a million things to do before Daytona and this was a part I was asked to build and deliver there. just sharing since there were people interested in it.

The foam is flotation foam. those are closed cells, except the ones that are cut on the surface. it should hold much if any water even if any did get in. If you silicone behind the washers and the mating surfaces you will effectively seal any point of entry. nothing is perfect and thats the reason for the floatation foam. that and to take up the void. It could be filled with other things, but the foam is the lightest. the hardware is recessed so that it wont get snagged on anything.

Sounds good Tom, I figured it was tailored for the sj but I was just looking for some insight on the hardware. Your quality products speak for themselves and its awesome for us guys who may need some inside support from time to time, thanks for your efforts and while Daytona is a short time away. Just do what you do and all will fall into place. Looking good keep it up we fx nerds appreciate your R&D and great parts and very reasonable prices! -JW

Been waiting for this to happen! Definitely my next purchase. I'll have to put hash marks on them every time they outlast a hull

These sponsons are great. Installed mine with 5200. Had to add one small #1 stainless Phillips screw to each end of the sponson to keep the tips down to the hull. Here are some crappy ass iPhone pics.

Tom took a great product and made it even better. I think this method of attaching them works much faster and easier than screwing and glassing them on. It also allows for removal down the road if you need to swap hulls.
