Well after tearing my left distal bicep on the last day of landscape construction work for the year, I will be sitting out the 2014 season to allow my bicep to reattach to my radius bone. Surgery was successful with two incissions, one on the inside with 10 stitches so he had room to find where the tendon end was and drill two holes in my radius bone and one incission on the outside with 7 staples that he had to pull the suture string through my bone and tie it off. Injury was December 6 with surgery the 19th and yesterday I got my cast off and am in a brace and can finally drive again!!! In Wisconsin you cant drive with a full arm cast so Ive been stranded at home since surgery.

Now that Im free its off to the gym shortly......cant use my left arm for a long time so legs and right upper it is;)

You know your suppose to switch hands periodically right? LOL
Glad your getting better, I know that sucks. I am nursing a rotator-cuff injury in my shoulder now, worried about riding in Daytona, just going to play by feel.

Have any advice on that rotator cuff. I tore mine last aug. and thought it wasn't to bad and would heal, but real slow going.. never went to the dr., nothing they can do other then surgery..

Active release therapy, rolfing, and trigger point work. Also look up shoulder rehab exercises and stretches.

Thanks for the info and support guys! I've already got all kinds of therapy lined up:) breaking 30 bones during my moto years I've rehabbed plenty....just another scar and story:) Was gonna lean down for the ski season this winter but now I'll spend the next year bulking up! Love that!

I was catching 100 lbs straw water retention bales that were rolling 200 feet down a bluff at about 35-40 mph and I had to turn them 90 degrees and send em another 100 feet down. It was 7 degrees out and the third one I caught came from a different direction and heard a snap......pop went my bicep:(

Yea Tem the moto poop is a blast.....nearly impossible to get away from. I rode moto from the time I was 6 til 23. After 2 broken wrists/forearms caused by water in my gas on my freestyle bike over a 120 ft freestyle practice jump in my backyard it was time to call it quits:( 6 hours of reconstructive surgery and multiple surgeries after my right forearm has 11 screws and a titanium plate almost a foot long. They said breaking this arm again would be bad......so onto jetskis!!!! It was the hardest thing I ever did! I raced from 12 years old on and turned pro at 19,won all the local pro stuff and did arenacross, supercross and some outdoor nationals. Then found my love of freestyle doing the jumpoff contests at arenacross and started doin jump shows at fairs, monster truck events, etc. I had signed with Redbull in the winter of 2002-2003 to do shows so no work and all play!:) 3 weeks before my first show was when I broke my arms:( Very hard and depressing to finally make it to the top of where I wanted to be and have to let it go..... Thank god I found this sport and was blessed to live only 20 minutes away from Zack and was able to light the freestyle fire in him which then made PHP! Life goes on right;) Stick with em Tem! Can't lose one of the best hull builders in the industry ;)

That sounds brutal , the cold sure seams help injuries like that . Oh man that is insane on the MX stuff ! I'm just putting around for fun compared to national pro deal you were into. I have a buddy here in FL that is all pinned together from freestyle mx .

Right now I'm not suppose to do much of anything with my left hand weight or strength wise just work on range of motion in my wrist. My doc says my range of motion in my elbow is already way better than he expected so the brace holds me back to not overextend.

Thank god I got into rc cars last winter with Randy so here's my driving skill honing machines....lol they are pretty fun!
