Just for ********s&Giggles I put my GPS in the stock fire extinguisher location and took the SJ for a top speed run. The water was not perfectly flat due to wind but is about as good as it gets on this little lake. Anyway on to the big number.........48MPH:woot: haha

oh jeez my 650 with a banged up impeller did around 35. Raced my bro in our boat to get that number, so its not the most accurate, but you get the gist.

BIT, has it dialed.. less water friction = faster ski... so you all those thinking "it would go faster if your pump was in the water" your wrong... its kinda like ducking at the end of a 100m dash just as your crossing the finish line... give you that extra (.02) mph

PS: looks nice at first glance, but does anyone see that sweet fire lookout stand behind that big stone estate? I just keep staring at it thinking zzzzzzzzzzzzzzip lineeeeeeeeeee.................

Bit did that ski come from grand rapids michigan? Looks familiar it was a limited set up when i rode it.
I bought the ski from Memphis TN and have yet to change the numbers as you can see. The ski did come from Michigan though. It was raced by two guys in region 6.

As for grifnasty doubting my riding style. I stand by my top speed technique. I need to get into a little more of a tuck, but that puts more of the ski in the water.

Actually there is a fine line when trying to get the most top speed out of a ski. You want as much of the hull out of the water without the pump unhooking. The pump has to be hooked up for the most top end. You just want to be on the verge of unhooking.
