Surfriding Tote

anyone have this tote?
LINK
just wondering how you like it or dont like it and if you need one or two people to load it from the surf? i really like it because its compact and works as a great stand but im nervous i might have issues with it in the surf. im from NH so the surf isnt to rough.
also wondering how it does when pulling the ski by yourself on beach
thanks in advance

def. going to get the one with the ballon tires. i really like the small tote seems great. just nervous i will have trouble loading it bymyself from the ocean?

My buddy has one and its the tote we all use when at pismo....cuz these stupid things are so f@cking pricey!!! Its a good tote, pulls easy with tires deflated abit.....unless you have a ssssuper light ski it still takes two people to load it up back outta the water. Might be able to load the ski by urself if you take it out deep enough to load.... I am looking for one with a handcrank still. I have seen many at the beach but cannot find any for sale.....

It's possible but tricky to load by yourself even if you float the stand.

Dragging it across the sand by yourself is also possible but very tiring. We ride in a good sized group so we usually put as many hands on a ski and tote as possible.

Construction is very simple. Determining factor is which company offers replaceable wheel bearings / bushings and are they in stock? If they have em in stock, order a few sets up front cuz they go bad!

We lash ours to the back of a rhino and pull it back and forth....only way to do it! Ive been looking for a smaller honda atc to use strictly as a tow vehicle. Found a few for a few hundred bucks but just havnt pulled the trigger yet......

yes i saw the one with the winch and it makes sense. anyone know if this cart is easier to pull than the tote or would you still need two people to pull it?

They come up on craigslist in the $200 - $300 range and can be narrowed to work with the standups cheap enough. I had one but sold it to get the TBM.

even the Tiger-Tote needs a little massaging...

I designed this one and had my step-dad fab it for me (he works at a boat shop).

If something like this is an option, I surely prefer this style over the Tiger/TBM style ones.

that custom tote w the winch you have in the pic is great.
sinse you had both which did you prefer the tote or the larger cart with the winch?

The narrow cart with the winch is the perfect setup. The one pictured is a modded Tiger Tote that belongs to ScottS. The TBM with a winch would be the absolute perfect tote.

I can't wait for my MIG to show up... :sneaky:

I love mine, and I have done it by myself, but you need to go into deeper water to load it, but if you go to deep, it will float away.

I would LOVE to do that winch mod to mine, I have the winch, I just need the pipe and a welder
