Towing ski behind boat?

i dont think its the water pressure in the pump, because its not that great towing it. But i think the waterlines in the pump work as a siphon when towing and water gets in the cooling loop and then drips in through the water injected points in the pipe. Maybe some pipes do better than others because of the water injection point are in different locations

Ask Square"A$$"Joel about being towed on a ski.
We tied his ski right behind the boat, about 5 feet behind it or less. Joel was on the ski. We got that thing with him on it on a plane doing about 30-35 mph. Towed him about 3 miles per Penguins built in gps.
No issues that I heard of.

I can see a ski filling up under tow if conditions are right... whatever they are.

this could be true. im talking dual cooled, SJs, with b pipes and FCV's with the headpipes being fed from the bottoms.

other configurations could certainly vary....

towing an unmanned standup with a rope longer than 2 feet will result in a nosedive.

seriously.... ive been towing my SJs for years... routinely.... never once a water ingestion issue.

i can certainly see how it could be possible, but honestly, ive only heard of it 'happening' online.:shhh:

lol, yeah I'm sure it has. I have no doubts. I think its just much easier to have another person ride it than tow it. Maybe because this is my boat though...

heres my rig. itll tow 2 SJs @ 15-20mph for miles without issues, including 2-3 occupants, gas, gear, cooler, stands, weiner dog, bouys, etc.....

you fools just need jetmates.:jester:

THE FCV'S are the key there, they will stop the flow of water because there will not be enough pressure to open them.

what if youre running dual cooling?

sure, the water will stop at the valve and the theoretical pressure will have to go somewhere.

its either out the pissers or through the headpipe and into the cylinders.

i dont think either actually happen.

you guys just dont know how to tow a ski.

And I've only heard online denial while seeing it happen first hand more than once.
I say you're full of shens.
