So what is the trailer etiquette at each hotel this year? Obviously we want things to be secure as well as out of the way but what are our options really?

One's common sense would suggest 1 spot a room. But that isn't the case.

Basically first come first serve on beach and hotel parking while trying to be considerate to fellow riders, etc.

technically were not supposed to park ANY trailers at the makai....thats what the lot across the street is/was for...

but seeing as we cant use that anymore..............

I'd be pretty pissed though if I coudnt find a spot at my hotel because of a 100 trailers......

Times like this really lets you enjoy a hitch hauler.....pull it off and put it in the back of the truck til the end of the weekend

Can we use that fenced in empty lot down the road like last year? I believe it's a sister Hotel owned by the same management?

Then why did the makai charge me a fee to park a trailer and tell me I can park it across the street?

That's what I did last year. It was great.
I've got a pretty big trailer (at 24'), and there was plenty of room, it's fenced, and there might have been one or two other rigs parked there.
It's maybe a 6-7 minute walk from the Makai to the south.
I just parked in there and walked.
The empty lot is right on the beach side. Like they tore down a hotel or something. You can't miss it. Ask at the front desk at the Makai and they'll tell you the name of the hotel of theirs that it's connected to (I can't remember for the life of me).
