Selling my Backie Chan freestyle ski. It is a trendsetters carbon hull. Ski is complete and ready to ride. I purchased recently and was planning on learning some freestyle stuff but some friends are getting back into dirt bikes so selling this to fund that instead. Ski was not titled when I bought it, so went through NC homemade title process and it now holds a clean NC title ready for transfer.
When I got it, it would not crank at all so I disassembled the motor as it was unknown the reason for not turning over, wanted to make sure engine internals were good, and found freshly rebuilt engine, clean bores, and the porting. Re assembled with all new gaskets and seals, and new o-ring kit for the head. Rebuilt starter was installed and it fired right up. Went ahead and put two new Mikuni rebuild kits in the carbs while it was apart, and now runs great.
-62t/61x @ 718cc, ported cases and exhaust ports.
-ADA Head @ around 170 psi front and rear.
-Lightened Flywheel
-Factory B-pipe that has been "Big bored"
-New version Zeeltronics ignition
-OEM 38's on fresh rebuild
-Xmetal Pole/Steering/Bars/Steering Cable all new within the past year
-Kart tank
-Unsure what type waterbox
-Oem 144 Pump with Xmetal Trim, Blowsion pump cone, new plastic insert wear ring, Solas 13-16 (should run similar to hooker 9/15)
-Footholds, front foodhold, and rear surf strap. Turf in fair condition but not excellent, totally rideable as is.
-Small stress cracks in paint in the pole area, I am told by others who had these this was common on these hulls.
-Added pole limiting rope when I got it.
-Dual xmetal scuppers, one at rear and one in pump area
-Paint is definitely not amazing, but good 5-10 footer. Bottom paint is scraped up from previous owner, but only cosmetic. No damage to carbon. I plan on scuffing up and giving the bottom a new coat of paint depending how long I have the ski.
I am sure I am forgetting some stuff, but will add anything as I remember. This could be a great budget backflip machine for someone, as that is what I bought it for. Asking $8500 OBO, only trades considered would be for a newer KTM 300 2 stroke, or similar bike. Please reach out with any questions, here or text me @ 7zero4-928-7fivefive8 for quicker response.
Located North of Charlotte, NC in Troutman and willing to travel a reasonable amount to meet someone with deposit. Also have two hitch haulers which one could go with the ski if needed.
