Trim cable placement?

I am putting my trim system in from my last ski and am putting it in reverse for more lift out of the water. Running the cable, do you think it would be alroght to go through the stock bilge hole through the back?

So how did it work? I'm thinking of doing the samething.

I wouldn't mind putting another thru hull in but i can't find any help on how to do it or what I need.
