superjet

Just want to thank CGRacing and give some more info. I received the last bit of a complete superjet today. Thanks Chuck. Chuck sent me a beautiful stock sj. Upper and lower in one piece. Stock hood, and stock handle pole. Had the hull for about 2 weeks. Making progress on sj and kawi about to come out of the gates. Were working hard on our part to produce top notch molds. Vinylester tooling resin(high temp.) Light weight steel reinforcement structure. Vaccum bag flanges, Very expensive form fitting silicone vac bags. (reusable, high temp.) This way were able to say production not custom. Price for product should reflect in better prices for higher quality parts. Also quick turn around times. Molds being high temp. Parts will consist again of a high temp parts resin. Vac bagged. Then into the oven for a cure. Thanks to the hard work and support by Kevin @ Legdrag and Chuck @ CGRacing.:grouphug: I hope you sj nuts can start to see some product soon. Hang tight. :Banane25:

Nice work on the lower mold Bobby! It realy came out amazing. Its crazy how much work yourself and Tim can get done in a day. Chop Chop on that upper, I know someone who is fed up with wasting his time and money on his OEM hull  Time to take out a loan.

800 hp turbo prop, I hope its in a bigger plane, that kind of power in a small plane is pure insanity, thats close to WW2 warbird power !!

Plane nuts

Bigger yes. Its a six passenger canard. All aerodynamic engineering is complete. The plane has a VNE of 560 mph @ 31,000 ft. We need a small jet engine to get that speed. Structure was designed for a turbo prop or jet. Rate of climb 4300 ft min. Most of the tooling is done. The rest is in cad waiting to be cut. Its pretty big. The small plane (4 passenger)uses a Continental 550 supercharged. Dry weight 1900 lbs.

Not at the moment, but it is something i would like to add to my list. right now i am just an AG pilot hence the avatar. I'm also getting ready to start work on a full scale replica supermarine spitfire, powered by an allison v-12 (1710) 1200hp.

do you have any pictures of the molds or the new bottom deck?
Lots of pics. All the work I have done in composites I record with pictures and invoices. Composite work pays my bills.
Skis are looking great. Things are coming along steady. All raw goods are paid for being molded to shape. There is $25,000+ in carbon and kevlar for building complete hulls and hoods in house. Building a kawi now for a rider.:brap:and working on sj molds.

Absolutely love my 8lb 3oz hood.. with the Trinity Hood, Wet Pipe, TDR box, UMI system, 6lb HD Battery, Metal Bracket Diet, Plus the little things Flame Arrestors etc. my 06 SXR must be 305- 310ish dry (sheer guesstimation here).. noticeably lighter putting it in and out of the truck vs a 750sx.. it really makes the SXR pop out of the hole nice and quick vs stock weight.. I really have to lean over the bars on the buoy course to make up for the lost weight in front..

The hood can take the abuse.. two Mastercraft X1's throwing some serious wake + my pancake attempts at BR and Throws.. Only some colour from my helmet resides as an indication the hood was used.. Multiple fountains, upside down swims to the ski and just about anything else my friends and I could throw at this thing.. my bilge remains unused..now im not sure if im going to cut in the one way dump this winter..

I'm telling all here.. Keep this man and his superman composites in business!

Lets get those sweet parts rolling out.. nose pieces, hoods, hulls, ride plates! (maybe a motor mount plate, flywheel cover, handle pole and some front sponsons?)

pics please
Hey Bigfish, I'll get pics soon. Just talked to my man Pat. He is sending me some metal parts for Sxr builds. By the way he has been cutting all the metal for our plane, beautiful work. Couldn't replace him. Took a two week break from skis. Needed to build a parts kit for my rider Chris Florin trials rider. There's a national event in Tenn. First indoor event in 4 years things are picking up in U.S. :woot:
Keep you posted:biggthumpup:
