I think after footholds, one of the next 2 thousand you spend on a freestyle SXR should be this hood.

Thanks again Nick. Thanks Wet Box for checking the hood and others who took the time to look things over.As for whats next. Many things are working. On the down side of kawi tools for complete hulls/parts.Yamaha sj project has started.Hood and nose first, followed by a complete hulls.I'm going to start web site. Thanks again and were ready to continue improving product to support a sport my family and friends enjoy. This hood rocked! Thanks to yamaslut for offering the test ride. As it turned out my hood latch broke. That is why my latch wouldn't stay down. I dont think it was from the fit of the hood, just me smashing it into the water over and over. I usually dont publicly endorse things but seriously this hood was off the chain. I look forward to seeing what else Trinity comes up with.

Wet box... you need some rachet hood straps. Your hood will never come off. Nice rolls BTW. Inspired me.
I tried out this hood in Georgia and didn't think it would make that much of a difference on my ski...(I was WRONG). I could barely ride my ski because it handled so differently. It is a beautiful hood. The Stock SXR ones are like riding with a bowling ball strapped to the top of your hull. I did some subs and for some reason (without tubes) it didn't take in any water in my carbs at all. I also pancaked a couple nose stabs and it didn't do any damage to it at all. I would love to put it through it's paces in some bigger waves to see how strong it is....(some people aren't sure if it will hold up in surf)
BTW... the hood is beautiful. It fit perfectly and was so light it almost boggled the mind. I could hold it with two fingers. :hail: It is really cool to be able to try something before you buy it at a ride like this..
I plan on getting one this winter (when funds aren't going to riding)
Yes....... pipe, pole, hood............ $2k.:cool2:

Oh. Gotcha.
i rode with the hood on my ski also, all i can say was one word AWESOME. it complimented all my mods perfect and it just made the front end of the ski come up that much easier. its inspired me to save up to buy a lightweight hood, just purely sweet.
nice meeting ya... your boat was very cool... rode nice..
Yes.... Bronson is correct.
That was the surf hood... the racing hood will be much lighter... Sorry for the confusion this weekend...
About the ride plate... sorry it wasn't drilled out enough... Bobby had it fit to his ski w/ really tight tollerances and the holes just needed to be opened up a bit to make it fit properly... Come to Daytona, Sebastian... you can try it out...
Bobbi told me I could have drilled them out.............. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: oh well, did not really have that much time anyhow.........only got about 20 minutes on the water the whole weekend. Scorn is sending me a plate to try out after he is done testing.........
