My brothers 2000 GMC Sonoma 4x4 Truck blew the intake manifold gasket and sucked in 2 1/2 gallons of coolant and water.

He is gonna change the gasket and try to flush the motor with a mixture of Kerosene and oil...Do you think this sucker is gonna run again, or is the motor toast?

Why can't cars be 2 stroke? :sneaky:

Jeffros truck may live. What do you have to lose by trying?

Or just get another motor at pull a part here in Cleveland.

Old renault were 2 stroke.

Truck engine should be fine. There are some diesel boat oil additives that will aid in getting the crap out. Most coolants won't cause corrosion for at least a couple of days.

Run it drain it, run it a again and drain once more.

Nasty stuff.

Good luck.

That is real common on the 4.3 motors. I would do a few short oil changes at about 300 miles each afterwards. Just use cheap ass oil for those, then go back to whatever you normally run. Get the fel-pro rubber/metal intake gaskets as well.

Sweet, I've heard talks about it for years.
Now if only they brought back Wartburgs, Datchias, and all the others.
Wonder if they still got Tatras.
Are they still gonna be made of plywood?

BTW, Dacia (Renault 12 or 14, forgot) is still being made in Romania AFAIK, although they changed the shape. The ugliest thing ever, IMO.

Old memories... I'm driving an Audi 100 on my way from Ukraine to Bulgaria through Romania. Of course the Romanian mafia is on my tail... their problem is that they are driving Dacias and I am playing with them slowing down and then "slightly" accelerating. It took dumbasses like an hour to realize their mistake.

Oh, and then I get pulled over by a Romanian cop a couple of hours later. He takes my license, passport and wants "500 ley" (about $10 at the time) because I'm from Ukraine, therefore I belong to "Ukrainian Mafia". I basically tell him to go f himself, sit on the hood of my car and smoke a couple of Marlboros (very expensive in Romania). He lets me go a few minutes later.

Hell, I can write a book about East Europe in the early 90s.

Ah, I think you're right. Don't they have some ownership in Lada, too?

I did Eastern Europe in the early through late 90's, mostly in the Chzech Republic, Slovakia (or, Chzekocslovakia), Hungary, and Poland.

Fun times.
