Trying to quantify the stand up jet ski industry size

huh???

You misunderstood my comment. I am saying that you can predict the industry size by using statistics. You can even predict the margin of error for your prediction. The problem is that it takes a lot of time and effort to end up with a model that produces significant predictions.
oh haha. Well sometimes things get miscommunicated over text. My bad my man.

Kawasaki claimed to have the "best selling model" with the SX-R in 2007-2009. How many skis did they sell per year?

How many SuperJets does Yamaha sell per year now that they are the only manufacturer?

I've really been curious, surprised nobody chimed in with rough numbers here.

everyone misunderstood my question except you. I just wanted rough numbers of skis sold and everyone thought I meant I wanted sensitive information like profit margins, total expense costs, and net worth. I wish this could have been explored a little more.

I know for a fact my wife has sold 14 superjets in the last year. Thats just at one dealership in the northwest. In the seattle area I can think of 5 dealers that sell superjets. Now if we wanna talk about squat downs i swear she sells at least 3 a week. I think the spark "sparked" peoples interest back into jetskis becuase a few of those SJ deals had 1 or 2 sparks in the mix as well. But if you think about it at one point or another someone paid 8k for each of those SJ's and thats just in our little corner of the state. Im sure like michael ratti or someone could call blowsion dasa thrust rickter FPP pro watercraft ECT and get a resonable ball park as to what kind of money people are spending. But for the purchase of new skis thats a hard one to figure out because out of all the SJ's that burned through my wifes work only 5 are people we know that are a part of the community. The other 9 i can guarentee those folks dont even know you can change parts on them to make them cooler haha

Margin on new units isn't much I could get the exact number but i think the cost on a new SJ with a bulk buy is like 6500. They order them by the 20 pack and they come in a huge Japanese cigarette box dropped off by a Honda robot flying a Toyota drone and the drone and the robot combine into a giant robot to unload the giant cigarette box.

Make something, sell it super cheap where everyone would buy it. Gather research from personal sales.

no risk it, no brisket

Okay so there are 1850 members of the Thrust Innovations Buy/Sell/Trade group on FB.
There are 2215 members of the Super Jet, SXR & Stand-Up group on FB.

Instead of approaching this from a dollars spent guess, why not take a poll of how much each person spends in a year on average (new thread, or a FB poll) and then multiply that by.... 2000.... 2000 being less than actually exist, but you know that there are people who are owners who spend basically nothing because they don't ride or they don't mod their skis, or they're not on FB.

Just another way to skin the cat.
