SX/SXi/SXi Pro Tubbie Destroyer's on SXI

Figured I would throw up a pic of the SXR Tubbie Destroyer's I put on my SXI recently. I have not got to ride it yet due to weather hopefully next month. They actually fit very well, better than I thought. I have about a 1/16" gap in the very front top that will fill easily with silicone. Definatly easier and higher quality than Tubbie 1 or 2'stubbies.jpg

Sick, let me know how they ride, been wanting to do these aswell for awhile now!. u dont have hull extensions do you? i talked to someone about these and said that runnin Tubbies required the use of the hull extensions. (suposedly it makes the front end wider makin it porpus really hard without them)

The only people Ive seen run extensions with them are racers. Surf riders and flatwater never. No I don't have extensions, just a extended ride plate, soon to be a carbon D cut. I think they will help this ski alot and can't wait to test them. I don't know why I waited so long to get them. Should be fun with my new secret mod!

I have the cf extensions on my ski. I had to cut them down to 2". With the 4" it was way too nose heavy. I like them at 2 with a d cut plate, handles great and will still slide easy. (I might cut em all the way off though) I bought extensions then tubbie's. Bad order of install lol

Those look positioned properly to me. I have Tubbie IIs and LOVE them. Probably the best modification for the money!

FYI- I have no extenstions on the hull and have a Worx extended ride plate with a R&D toploader grate. I'm 205 lbs without the wetsuit and 6'1". Very satisfied with the handling, no issues.

I put tubbie 2's on mine and love them. adds a ton of stability to it and it rides TONS smother at high speeds, it wont try to sit on one side or the other at speed. I also did hull extensions (since have cut back to 2 inches) made it handle like is was on rails. When i let people ride it they would fall on corners because it would hook so good.

Man, total improvement in handling and performance. Rails turns with more confidence (less sliding out), seems more stable overall.

I never really had a problem like some guy who had complained about porpoising, although I believe it cleaned up that aspect of the ride a bit as well.

I had problems with porpoising, thats why i put the extensions on. it was actually just me riding like a noob, wish I didnt waste my money on them. I deff suggest the tubbies though. Only issue is mounting them, I took two people to get them to bend around the hull

Not to thread jack but mine have been mounted for over a year now and I used the glue/sealer blowsion suggested. Can I remove the screws? Hull is going in for paint soon and Im trying to prep as much as possible before painter gets it.

Figured it was time to give a update on the Destroyer sponsons. After five hard rides on them all I can say is that they are amazing! No chine walk, no high speed death wobble, handleing improved 200%. In my opinion these make the SX/SXI hull equal to the all mighty superjet. Everyone who owns a SX/SXI should have a set. It took me a couple rides to get used to them only cause it made it so stable yet rail turns so hard. I was literally throwing it into turns so hard I was brusing my ribs yet pulling out of them and throwing 180 flat spin's to ghost fliping with ease. Just cant say enough, BUY THEM!
