Tubbies on a SN rock!!

I put tubbie 1's on my SN and they kick arse, mounted them a 1/2' up from bottom of hull to help the chine factor and holy smokes I can lay it over in a Corner almost like an sxr. I also have rear sponsons and a good pump setup which I'm sure helps too but the tubbies have made the biggest handling change of all, so anyone thinkn about it forsure go forward with it cause you won't be disappointed

Thinking about putting some Tom21 tubbies on mine this winter. Would like to ride someone's ski with them to see if I like them first though.

I've herd good things about the Tom's too, I got my set off ebay from kaissy, great mold, no hassles and they are a bolt on style tubbie 1 which I like better than just glue

Installed a set of tom21 on my round nose. Super easy install bolt on's. Love the way they handle. No chine walk wish I installed them a long time ago. Big Bang for the buck. Super easy to do business with. Excellent product

Ya they are!
I put destroyers on my sn and love them!
Even my girl friend came back saying it corners way better than last year(she doesn't know I added tubbies..lol)

I've been thinking about this as a possible option for my winter mod...can you still slide it around? Will the ski need to be layed over more in turns instead of the flat superjet turning style?

Heck yeh. I miss my old Sn, my new one is getting tubbies for sure. Chine walk dissapears, stability increases ten fold, you can actually drop into turns and carve it. I was doing figure eights out on flat water and it handles cometley different! Just like footholds, once you've had them once, you'll never go without.

Sorry that wasn't supposed to happen ^. Anyway, I tried a nose stab at about 40mph for some crazy reason, lol my Sj went it at a 90° angle, front plastic nose cover broke off and hit me in the face, chin pad broke off, didn't realize I was in 4 ft of water so it hit bottom, but other than the bloody face, the ski was ok! :) but I'll never do that again lol.

Umm I'd recommend a helmet even in flatwater. One bad hit to the head and you could get knocked out and drown in a worst case scenario. Just cuz you wear a life jacket doesn't guarantee you'll float face up.
If you're doing anything that involves the pump leaving the water, get a helmet. I wear a 661 mountain bike full face helmet and I can't even tell it's on. Super comfy and it's protected me quite a few times.. Stabs can be sketchy, and if you even think about getting inverted it's a no brainer to get a helmet. You only get one head, so use it wisely.
