tubes in bulkhead

I need to replace one of the tube running through the bulkhead of my ski to accomodate a larger cable for the trim. What does everyone use? the one i need to replace appears to be an aluminum tube. Thanks!

I've used stainless and pvc.

stainless from mcmastercarr.com its pricy but it will never need replaced. ive seen aluminum carode and pit through and actually leak water into the foam.

What size is everyone using for their trim tubes?

I know it is somewhat brand dependent, but you may want change brands later.

i used the same size as my water lines but my trim cable is small enough to fit. an x metal trim cable woould need a larger diameter, at least 7/16 ID

My Sato cable needed a 1/2" ID tube to get the end thru.

1/2" thin walled stainless will accomadate most if not all trim cables
esspecially THRUST

Wouldn't PVC be much easier ?
Home Depot on every corner has it.
