Tuning 701 Waveraider/XL Riva Pipe

Looking for some input. Have one of these riva red pipes for Yamaha XL/waveraider/waveventure. Found some info, but very little is out there. Pic of pipe below, I also found the original instructions for install which surprisingly provides no tuning or carb setup recommendations. Wondering if anyone has any specs for running dual Mikuni 38s with it to save myself some time, otherwise I guess I’ll start with b-pipe specs and go from there. Im close to sea level. Thanks for any info. Installing in a SC 701 conversion. Thanks for any info or relevant input. If there are any negatives on this pipe please let me know, assume it has to be better than running stock.

If its a 3 bolt gasket, any Hotproducts dealer should be able to help. @JetManiac might be able to square you away. pn might be 9060 or 9070

I checked and both styles of the Riva headpipe gaskets we have in stock are both 3 bolt styles. Our gasket catalogs only show the two 3 bolt styles also.

Yeah thats what ill prob do
Theres no info or parts for this pipe
Must be very rare

I don't know about where you are at but here we have a place called Montgomery rubber and gasket, they can make a gasket for pretty much anything, last one I had made was for a SEADOO 720 with a APE pipe on it.

Show a pic of the chamber, that's the unicorn chamber with the point, right? Yes those are rare and I dont make that one. They only made that pipe for a year or so because it didnt offer that much more power over stock. Then they came out with the big red Riva 3 bolt pipes for SJ, waveblaster and waveraider. You're literally the 2nd or 3rd person in 15 years that has asked for that gasket...lol



I make these two RIVA 3 bolt gaskets. One on the left fits the WaveRaider, on the right for all others i.e., SuperJet/WaveBlaster.



I can send you some material and you can cut your own if you like or check out that place that WFO Speedracer recommended if you dont want to try to cut it yourself. I don't hand cut anything, just have cutting dies for each specific gasket. I see you sent a PM. PM sent.

Hey did you ever get this pipe mounted and going i bought the same pipe for my ski but did not get any hardware, lord mounts or brackets for it im trying to get some pics to see where i need to mount the lord brackets so i can fab some up
