tuning carbs?

I need help tuning my carbs. they are stock 38's that have been re-jetted etc. Paul gave me the specs to dial them in at, but they need a little more attention. The choke plates have been removed and it is really hard to get it started, also the plugs are always soaking wet when i take them out.. any advice? thanks

its a 04 sj, factory B pipe, v-force reeds, majoo freestyle porting on a 701, factory water box and flame arrestor, 38mm mikuni's re-jetted with 75/137.5 jets, and adjusted for low 1/2 turn out, high 1 1/2 turn out.

You need a primer........... prob need an 80 or 95 gram spring, It has been way too long since I ran duals, cannot remember which spring, you do want the stock needle and seat.
sounds like you are flooding the cases with gas, that why your plugs are wet..........

how does it ride?

side note, with my TLR ported cylinders, I had to run 105 low speed jets and 135/140 Highs........... but, every setup is different.

i had a hard time starting and ran way rich on the bottom till i went back to stock spring in mine, 115 gm. 95 and even went down to a 60? too mushy and hard to start, went stock and she is nice and crisp down low and starts waaaayyyy easier. still working on top ( 137.5 too lean) prolly gonna end up with a 145 main 75 p and stock n/s and popoff
