there not that great, the yamaha sleds are way to heavy lol

Heavy yes, balanced well enough to overcome it, yes again. The RX-1 was way too heavy, the Phazer was fun and nimble but underpowered. The Apex was pretty decent in stock form and incredible in turbo form. My last year up north, I bought my ex a Phazer with the plans of turboing it. I was looking at an Apex for me but the new Bombardier REV was lighter, just as powerful, way cheaper and way better to ride.

Look up a video series online called Mountain Mod Mania, it's full of crazy turbo'd sleds.

Yamaha skis are to heavy. The only time you see people riding them off the trails are when they are boosted. It is sad to see that the sport of snowmobiles will be taken over by four strokes some day even though Ski-Doo is keeping it alive with there E-tech engines.

Four strokes don't like that kind of riding. There was one pro rider(Jimmy Blaze) that was sponsored by Yamaha and had a Ski-Doo Rev with Yamaha decals on it. Allways made me laugh.

Wont let me edit. He did ride yamis in competion/shows. Pretty impresive seeing him flip a 4 stroke beast. Only rider I know that can/has done it. He now rides for Ski-Doo...wonder why

LOL.

The mountain 4 strokes do pretty good off the trail. As good as a new 2 stroke? No, but they don't require rebuilding every couple thousand miles and are much more fuel efficient.

That turbo Apex looks amazing!

It really depends on where you are I am guessing...here in Ohio...it seems like way to much ditch banging (MOST dangerous thing I have EVER done! EVIL F'ING DITCHES have tried to kill me 3 times!!!) and trail riding to need much more than a REV 600...

But in real sled country I imagine the more power the better!

The turbo apex is unreal but just like all these 4 strokes, get them stuck and you will be hating. Good thing they don't get stuck too easy.

We rode one day with 4 ft of fresh powder and everything was stuck, including the lightweight 163's. The only guy playing that day was a turbo apex and he was having a blast and not breaking a sweat.
