Tes and it also appears to have a hydraulic drive unit on the rear hub. So the engine just turns the hydraulic pump and the lines transfer it to the rear hub hydraulic motor.

Where would the water for the wet pipe come from? Carry around a reservoir?
All that's required is enough of a spray to cool the couplers off, wouldn't be hard to mount a reservoir and a small electric pump. You have to remember it's basically a drag bike but you race up a dirt hill, time is measured in seconds..

There are some 2stroke scooters also running the 701 engines without water. The drags are less than 10 seconds so they dont worry about cooling. Good news is if this takes off maybe it will get us some more performance part options. :)

My dad used to hillclimb on alsport trike like 40 years ago when you could still have fun. 350cc air cooled kohler twin cylinder with duel mikunis, loud ass chambers, and a cvt tranny.

You cqn hear it a mile away so good luck riding it for longer than a minute now. Scary fast though and would smoke pretty much anything that wanted a race.

Always told him we should rig up a 701 or 650 on there and see how it does. Always wondered what a 701 would feel like on land

Was it the Alsport Tri-Sport? Those were street legal too if I remember correctly. And of course there was the crazy dual track ATV/snowmobile Alsport Tracker.

It was. Hes got 5 frames for them. He has the dirt model the phase 3 built, that thing is absolutley violent. He's got the street legal one too, but its in pieces at the moment.

The street legal model did the company in. The wheels were held on by set screws and no pin, so they were vibrating loose on the road and hurting people. Company went bankrupt.
