I used to have some pictures saved of some SNs that had turf replacing the front bumper. Does anyone have any pictures? I am thinking of doing this on my new square project.

I did it too with some old used turf I had laying around. Mine was only temporary but it held up fine for about 2 months before ripping the entire ski apart for paint. I just used regular contact cement, heat, and a rubber mallet. There's no need to cut the turf, just mold it.

How did you cut the piece? Was it a straight edge on the side closest to the pole?

I was very half @ssed about it. I took some heat and laid the piece into position using the top line (plastic nose cover) as my original guide to make sure I had a piece big enough. I just used a straight line across the top...no need to get fancy there. Then once I had a basic form in the turf, I glued everything up and worked one side at a time. Lots of heat, leather gloves to hold it in place, and a rubber mallet. When I finished, I just trimmed all excess turf at the bond line.
