I wasn't a fan either until I watched the Jay leno episode on it with the engineer and designer. I dont want one, but pretty interesting hearing how and why it was made like it was.
Link??? I think the concept is pretty cool. I know there are some other companies that make similar tubes.

Another season has ended for the beach cart. The lithium batteries have been great. I can do 2-3 outings without needing to recharge. There is still a power draw somewhere so I disconnect the batteries when not in use. I haven't needed to lock the axle for more traction so if there were a more refined version, a single wheel drive would be the way to go. I was able to test my aluminum welds and chain strength hauling a sxr1500. I had to take it back up the beach "backwards" because the chain wanted to pop off the sprocket. A spring loaded tensioner would fix that, but more or less not needed the rest of the time.
